Support Local Artists: Shannon Amidon

Last month,  San Jose hosted an event called SJ Eats.  They had 10 different food trucks from around the bay area, parked on a little corner in San Pedro Square.  Due to the fact that the lines were about an hour and a half long wait, I didn't get to try any of the food.  Believe me, I was super bummed!  So instead, I ate pub food and met up with my best mate for some beers.  It wasn't until then that I discovered the SJ Made area;  clothes vendors and handcrafted accessories made by local artists.  I stumbled upon Shannon Amidon's booth.  She makes bullet shell jewelry that's pretty amazing.  Even though I didn't get to try any food from the trucks ( I LOVE FOOD! ) , catching up with my best mate and gazing at handmade jewelry was well worth it. All in all, it was a good day!

Here are a few of Shannon Amidon's pieces.  Make sure to look up her website:  http://www.shannonamidon.com/
She also does artwork.

Adding one of these necklaces to your wardrobe would be a great way to edge it up.
