This is a music post....

about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.  With her distinct voice, one-of-a kind moves, and a style all her own, there's no doubt that front woman, Karen O, is one BAD ASS chick!  With her ability to be rugged and rough, but soft and feminine when the time calls for it, one can't help but to swoon.  Combined with Nick and Brian's musical talents, this band is totally boss (in my book)!  Fortunately, I've had the chance to see them perform live and it was great! I mean, how can you listen to them and not fall head over heels?

Her vocals in this song are sick!

Notice her Christian Joy shirt, most of her costumes are made by this designer.

My favorite song off of the "Its Blitz!" album.

I can never get tired of this.  The name of our blog actually came from a line in this song :)

Get excited for SPRING!!!!

I woke up today and saw the sun for the first time this week. It was a beautiful day where I am, and let me just say it got me super excited for Spring. I decided to give you all a sneak peek at what is to come for trends this Spring. I won't go into too much detail, beacause well, spring isn't here yet...DUH! Shorts will be as important as pants were in winter. Make sure you pay close attention to the fit tho; you'll want to keep them a bit loose this season. The "tight" shorts of 2010 are out. New materials will be introduced. And as far as colors go, keep it simple with greys, blacks, blues, and creams. If you must have color, then go BOLD as much as possible! I mean if you must, then go all out. Shirts should be more snug. The fit should be as tailored as possible. Do not forget to shop at your favorite thrift stores for those key pieces from past eras. Look to the 50's, 60's, and even the 70's, for stand-out fits, colors, and patterns. I am still on the hunt for a good vintage store. And when I find it, life will surely get better...as well as my closet, in the mean time I'm taking a nap till Spring shows up.(looks by D&G, Trussardi 1911, Band of Outsiers)

Oh yea:
Remember to mix and match. And don't forget that mixing prints now is more then just cool, its a must!! Look good and you'll feel good!
